INTRODUCTION:

Environmental  Controllable Super-low Friction Tribo-system consists of stainless vacuum  chamber, pin-on-disk tribotest system, gas environment control system (gas  cleaner and gas hose), gas environment measurement system, and external signal  collection. Through controlling gas environment and the measurement system,  precise control on the gas species, humidity and oxygen content (lowest of 1  ppm) can be realized. And then, the pin-on-disk tribotest can be performed in  different gas environments. The tribo-system is used to evaluate the super-low  friction and wear properties of carbon based solid lubrication film in the  utmost limit gas environment. The tirbo-system costs 57,000 US  dollars.
