INTRODUCTION:

High-performance Computing(HPC) Cluster for Nanosurface Design has the calculating ability up to 2400 billion times/second, value for 3,148,900 RMB. The Dell PowerEdge series HPC cluster consists of login/manage nodes, I/O nodes, 24 calculation nodes and fiber storage system (36T storage). Nodes are connected by InfiniBand and internet. Operating system is RedHat Enterprise Linux 64bit.  The room is equiped with 3C15KS UPS, and PET-12 air-condition.


SPECIFICATIONS:


Each node contains two intel Xeon E5-2680v2 (10 cores) CPU. The HPC cluster contains totally 480cores, including 21 normal calculation nodes (64GB memory), 2 big nodes (256GB memory), and 1 GPU node (NVIDIA Tesla K20M GPU).

 

Softwares installed include Materials Studio, LAMMPS, VASP, Gaussian, Abacus, Matlab, etc.
