     On May 8^th 2014, Prof. Mo Li in Department of Material Science Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, has visited INSE, and gave a academic speech titled “Modeling and Theory of Mechanics of Materials: Building a Digital Bridge to Connect the Science and Applications of Materials”. Prof. Li took an example of increasing the strength of materials by modifying the orientation of crystal boundaries, and introduced the digitalization and quantification of materials, and explained the importance of material microstructure theoretical design for their industrial applications. His brilliant scientific idea and vivid description has gained applaud from every audience.
